Gregor Kincaid is a percussionist from Erskine, just outside of Glasgow.
After being introduced to the drums by his uncle at an early age, Gregor joined Johnstone Pipe Band as a snare drummer after turning 14, before moving to the drum corps at Shotts and Dykehead pipe band three years later. He now plays with the world-famous Field Marshall Mongtomery Pipe Band from Northern Ireland.
At the age of 19 Gregor was accepted in to the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland to study for a degree in BMus Traditional Music. It’s here that he began learning other styles of traditional percussion, focusing on the bodhrán. He receives tuition from Adam Brown and Martin O’Neill privately.
In 2015, Gregor was asked to join the Red Hot Chilli Pipers, who he has now toured America, Germany and the U.K. with, playing marching snare drum and percussion.
